Interactive tools and configurators.

From price calculators to product configurators to complex calculators — we develop interactive tools that provide value.

Custom calculators — interactive calculators and configurator tools for your website

Custom calculators and configurators are interactive tools that provide users with immediate value while simultaneously generating qualified leads. As part of the design discipline, user experience is the priority here: How do we guide the user intuitively through a multi-step process without losing them?

Design aspects of a successful calculator: clear step-by-step navigation, visual progress indicator, immediate feedback loops with every input, mobile-first layout, and a compelling results visualization that invites contact. Our own project calculator at /calculator shows what this looks like in practice — try it yourself.

Frequently asked questions

The most important design principles: a clear progress indicator (so users know how far along they are), immediate feedback with every input, mobile-first layout with large touch targets, a compelling results page, and an inviting call-to-action at the end. Fewer fields = more completions.

The sweet spot is 4–6 steps. Fewer than 4 steps don't allow sufficient qualification. More than 8 steps lead to drop-offs. We test the optimal number of steps for your use case and can adjust afterward — since the completion rate is continuously measured.

Mobile-first is our standard: over 60% of users access calculators on their smartphone. We design for mobile first, then expand for desktop. The result is a calculator that works perfectly on both devices — not a desktop calculator that 'sort of' works on mobile.

There are three integration options: 1) As a standalone subpage of your existing website (simplest option). 2) As an iframe embed on an existing page. 3) As a complete reimplementation within your website technology. We choose the best option together for your technical situation.
