Content Marketing.
Content marketing is a marketing method in which a business publishes useful content, such as guides, how-tos, checklists, videos or studies, to attract prospects and build trust before any sale is discussed.
Content Marketing — Explained in Detail
Traditional advertising interrupts: it appears while you want to do something else. Content marketing works the other way round: it answers questions people have anyway. Someone who wants to know what a heat pump costs searches for it and, at best, finds an installer's guide. The installer has thereby won trust before the first conversation takes place.
Typical formats are guide articles, how-tos, comparisons, checklists, case studies, videos, podcasts, newsletters and studies based on original data. For them to be found, you need a content strategy: which questions does the target group ask, which topics can the business answer credibly, and how do the pieces connect (content cluster, pillar page)? An editorial calendar helps with organisation.
An example: a fiduciary firm writes an article every month on a question clients keep asking, such as 'Which receipts do I have to keep as a sole proprietorship?'. The articles appear in Google Search, are cited in AI answers and are linked by the team in emails instead of writing the answer afresh each time. After a year there are twelve pages answering questions around the clock.
Content marketing works slowly. It usually takes months for content to rank, and not every article brings enquiries. Measurement therefore happens in stages: visibility in search, visits, time on page, then enquiries that started from an article. To be frank, DLM Digital has no published content marketing client case; our work sample is our own German-language magazine. More about the service on the Content Marketing Agency Zurich page.

Advertising buys attention for as long as the budget runs. Content marketing earns attention with content that is still found months later. The two complement each other: advertising can give good content reach at the start.
Usually several months. New articles need time to rank in search, and a topic area only takes effect once several connected pieces exist. Anyone who needs enquiries within weeks combines it with search ads.
Yes, if the business has expertise that customers search for and regularly sets aside time for it. A few good articles on the most common customer questions bring more than lots of short texts with no added value.
